The Office of Graduate Admission seeks an experienced recruitment professional to serve as the point person for prospective students interested in a portfolio of programs and to aid in the development and implementation of a robust multi-channel recruitment strategy.

As a key member of the Graduate Admission team, this individual will seek out new strategies and tactics to help meet the College’s graduate enrollment goals. As part of a multi-channel recruitment strategy, this person will contribute to the continued development of both traditional and online recruitment practices. In addition this person will partner with Graduate Program Directors to cultivate external industry partnerships, work with alumni relations to establish inroads, integrate strategies with professional studies and partner with international student affairs to explore emerging international growth markets.

The Graduate Admission team seeks to build a corporate/industry partnership program to establish new connections within the corporate community and capitalize on existing industry connections with the aim of creating opportunities to engage potential students while raising the profile of our graduate programs to prospective students already working in the industry. This position will work closely with the Director of Graduate Admission and the Graduate Program Directors to develop and implement this strategy.

The Assistant Director is the primary admission representative and recruiter for select graduate programs serving as the main point of contact for prospective students, partnering with the Graduate Program Directors throughout the admission cycle, and working with Enrollment Marketing to reach enrollment targets. He/she will represent the College at recruitment events domestically and internationally as well as communicate extensively with faculty regarding marketing efforts, enrollment, merit aid, and program updates.

Ideal candidates will have experience using various technology platforms, building recruiting strategies and building relationships. This position will require extensive outreach efforts and interpersonal communications. In addition, candidates should be self-starters who are comfortable building and creating strategies from the ground up.

Primary Duties, Responsibilites, and Tasks
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education (including hardware, software, and equipment)

Bachelors Degree
-Strong written and oral communication and customer service skills.
-Knowledge of basic marketing and recruiting principles.
-Public speaking skills.
-Excellent computer skills in spreadsheets & databases.
-Reporting & data analysis skills.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks to work effectively, both as a team player and independently.

-Ability to travel is required.
-Access to personal vehicle or transportation is required.

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Education (including hardware, software, and equipment)

-Masters Degree
-Client relationship development

Required Prior Work Experience

2-4 Years of professional work experience in sales, graduate admissions, account management or client relationships

Job Duties

Individual Work Activities

-Develop and implement strategies to recruit and enroll a diverse and well-qualified student body for designated programs and populations, in order to meet enrollment targets set by the administration of the College
- Support the development of a multi-channel recruitment strategy that reaches both domestic and international communities
-Representing Emerson College at graduate school fairs, college/university visits, and industry events
-Host group information sessions and networking events, monitor and control costs of recruitment travel, and produce follow-up reports that measure the effectiveness of travel
-Partner with Enrollment Marketing and the Graduate Admission Team to plan and host open houses
-Identify and create partnership opportunities between Emerson College and the corporate community that align with the College’s mission and vision.

Individual Work Activities

Student Service
-Correspond regularly with prospective students throughout the admission lifecycle
-Meet in person with prospective students
-Actively participate in on-campus recruitment and yield events
-Manage program-specific current student ambassadors
-Partner with Graduate Admission Team to identify ways to improve communication a key points in the admission lifecycle

Individual Work Activities

Managing Relationships with Graduate Program Directors
- Correspond regularly with the graduate program directors regarding program updates.
-Prepare reports to assist GPDs with meeting enrollment targets and monitor merit aid offers
-Collaborate with the faculty and enrollment marketing to develop program-specific marketing efforts
-Facilitate the application review process

Individual Work Activities

Enrollment Management Team
- Participate in Enrollment Management wide functions
- Participate in Emerson College undergraduate events when appropriate
-Participate in College wide functions
